Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair that provides light weight and excellent maneuverability. Its compact one-hand fold makes it's lightweight and also freestanding when folded. The cushioned seat reclines into an almost flat position and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. The suitability for newborns is yes with an additional carrycot.

A good suspension with air-filled tires will help you navigate through rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, but you should wait until your baby is six or nine months old for this.

Ickle Bubba Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is a great option for parents looking for a lightweight buggy with enhanced features. It comes as an entire travel system that includes a lie-flat carrycot designed for infants, a movable forward and rear facing pushchair, and a choice of group 0+ car seat, so you can get everything in one package.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to comprehend why it's received praise from its customers. It is incredibly lightweight with the chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg. It's also very simple to put together. In fact I was able get the whole thing up and running in less than five minutes, which is impressive considering it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!

The seat is spacious and comfortable for Annie who is just 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to use. There's plenty of space in the basket too and I like the fact that it comes with an open-top pocket on the handle bar so that you can keep your keys and phone safe!

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is low, which can be a problem for taller parents. But, it's covered with a luxurious leather-like material that is soft and comfortable, and it wipes down easily, meaning it's still easy to push with bags and children in your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is a great choice for parents who enjoy exploring and are always on the move.  More Help  are designed to be used on forest and field trails, and the front wheel can be rotated and locked to give you more flexibility. The stroller also comes with a 5-point safety harness with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child safe on all journeys. The parking brake keeps the stroller stationary while you take a rest. The comfortable seat is easy to lower to a lying position, and the canopy opens up netting for optimum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad's or mom's heights.

If you're planning a quick jog or a hike that lasts a while, the Runner will be there to accompany you on all your adventures with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise a bump-free ride. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets or overcrowded sidewalks. The stroller can also be folded in order to fit into car boot spaces or storage spaces.

Some parents have found the Runner 2 to be a bit more difficult to maneuver than its predecessor, and the locking system isn't as user-friendly (requiring two buttons on each side of the push bar). The handlebar is a little higher than other strollers which means it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms but overall, it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller worth considering for active families.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the affordable British brand. They are renowned for their well-designed, no-fuss products that are essential for parents. It's the latest - and priciest - product in their bargain-priced lightweight stroller line. It as with the Ickle Bubba Aurora and Yoyo, is car seat adaptable which means you can use it right from birth (the carrycot folds away).

The new Pace has some fantastic design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis, and stroller trims, which really make it stand out. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are elegant and there is the option of adding the leather cover handle and bumper bar, too.

It's suitable for babies up to a maximum weight of 22kg and the stroller seat can easily be converted from a carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent or world-facing. The stroller seat features various lie-back positions, softly padded legs rests and an extended sun canopy with zip-off sections that are concealed with a view-through flap, and retractable visor.

What's more, when it's folded it's Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it can be used as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among others. Two buttons on each side are easy to use and click to lock it in place.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more agile than its predecessor. I put it to the test with my two children - an infant and an eight-week old - across rocky pavements as well as woodland walks that are grassy and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are huge in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - therefore they are able to handle all kinds of terrain. The wheels have flaps that can be opened or closed to let more air in when needed. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, yet does not feel heavy or bulky when you are pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to wipe down. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I was comfortable in the city streets. It has integrated accessory points, so you can attach footmuffs and parasols along with changing bags or snack trays, and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. It's a single pram, but you can add their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra legroom. It took about 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to convert it to the seat.

UPPAbaby Ridge

Whether you're enjoying a morning jog under the stars or taking a moonlit walk in the cool air, the UPPAbaby Ridge turns every moment into a fun experience for all. This all-terrain stroller was designed to keep both you and your child engaged.

The large foam-filled 12" and 16 "tires give you a smooth ride no matter the terrain. The patented suspension allows you to glide over woodland paths with minimal impact on your child's legs as well as rear. The handbrake with a performance disc allows you to stop quickly even while running on a downhill slope.

The Ridge is at its best in every city scene, from bustling market stalls for farmers to street musicians performing music. Its spacious basket accommodates your finds from the market and all of your baby's essentials while the large canopy provides sun and wind protection. The front canopy can be unzipped to reveal two mesh peekaboos, which allow you to keep an eye on your baby.

The Ridge's reversible seats allows you to choose whether your child is facing you, or the world in front. The simple foot brake system makes it a breeze for new parents. The reversible handlebar is a great feature that allows you to adjust it to your height. In contrast to other strollers for jogging the Ridge folds solid and self-standing when folded.

iCandy Core

iCandy's new pushchair is truly innovative and comes with a host of features that are likely to impress parents. It has a Multi-Mode wheelbase as well as an LED Visibility Hub light that's the first of its kind in the market. It has an integrated Ride-on Board that helps reduce future costs and allows tired toddlers to accompany their parents during outings.

The Core is available as an entire travel system or as a single seat. It works with most popular car seats, including the ones from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the largest seat unit in the iCandy range, so it can last through your baby's initial years and beyond. Like all iCandy pushchairs, this one is luxuriously designed and features premium knitted jersey fabric. The parent's adjustable handlebar and child's bumper bar that can be detached are made from soft leatherette. The folding calf support folds away and is very comfortable for children.

I was amazed by the ease of fold and collapse. It only requires one hand, even with the seat unit on. And  3 wheeled pushchair  fits easily into your boot and hallway which makes it ideal for travel. The iCandy Core comes with lots of extra accessories, such as a colour matching changing rucksack and footmuff/liner.
